Defective or Damaged Merchandise
Please inspect your order immediately upon receipt. If you believe you have received defective or damaged merchandise, please contact us within 3 business days of receipt of your order. We unfortunately can't make exceptions once you have had the merchandise in your care for a longer period, have washed it, or worn it. We do our very best to display the colors, textures, measurements, and patterns as accurately as possible. Items with slight variances will not be considered defective as each item may be a bit unique in pattern placement.

Defective/Damaged Items Return Process:

  • Fill out our Return Form and indicate "Damaged" or "Defective" in the subject line.
  • Be sure to include clear pictures of the defective or damaged area.
  • Once we receive your return form, you can expect a response from us within 72 hours.
  • If your item is confirmed as damaged/defective, we will issue you a pre-paid return label. All you need to do is put your item back in its original packaging (or similar packaging if you already threw away the original packaging), tape the pre-paid return label on to the package, and drop it off at any USPS drop off site. We recommend that you ask for your package to be scanned in when you drop it off, so you can keep the receipt for tracking purposes.
  • Please allow our team 14 days to process your return after your item is received at our warehouse. Once your return is processed on our end, banks and credit card companies can take anywhere from 24 hours to 10 days to post a refund on your account. 

We hope you always love your items from Lexington Avenue, but we understand when a return may be needed. It's always a bummer when you have to return an item, so we want this process to be as simple as possible for our customers! Please note: items can be returned for store credit only, issued in the form of a gift card code sent via e-mail. 

Return Process

  • Make sure your item qualifies for a return! 
    • Items must be in NEW condition, meaning they remain un-washed, un-worn, free of odors or pet hair, and all tags must still be attached. Articles received in any other condition will not be refunded. 
    • All grab bag items, bras, hair accessories, and clearance items are FINAL SALE and cannot be returned.
    • Lexington Avenue reserves the right to refuse a refund based on the condition or type of item being returned. 
  • If your item qualifies for a return, fill out a Return Form within 7 days of receipt of your order.
  • Once we receive your return form, you can expect a response from us within 72 hours to confirm if you qualify for a return.
  • As soon as you hear back from us, securely pack your merchandise, include your return form and original invoice in an appropriate shipping box or envelope and mail to the following address:

  • All returns must be received by Lexington Avenue within 10 days of the date that you receive confirmation from us that your item qualifies for a return.
  • Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer, and we recommend tracking and insuring all return packages.  Lexington Avenue cannot be held responsible for returned packages that were lost or damaged during transit.
  • Please note: Non-members will be charged a 20% re-stocking fee for each returned item. Members are NOT charged this fee!
  • Please allow our team 14 days to process your return after your item is received at our warehouse. You will receive a gift card code via e-mail in the amount of your return. 

At Lexington Avenue, we try to offer unique items that aren’t seen in the big box stores. Because we are a boutique, our inventory can be very limited as we try and bring our customers fresh, new products every day. As a result, we cannot guarantee exchanges. We keep our stock fully updated online, so if you see the item you want to exchange is available in the correct size/color, we recommend that you purchase that item and return the original item by following our return process above.
